The journey begins with a comfortable drive through the Moroccan countryside. After about an hour and a half, we’ll stop for a short 15-minute break. During this time, you can stretch your legs and enjoy the surrounding landscape.
Next, we’ll visit a small, women-run argan oil cooperative. Here, you can observe the traditional process of argan oil extraction. You’ll also learn about the benefits of this unique Moroccan oil. Additionally, you will have the chance to purchase products directly from the local artisans.
Upon arriving in Essaouira, you’ll have free time to explore the city at your own pace. You can wander through the narrow streets of the medina, admire the whitewashed buildings with blue shutters, and visit the impressive ramparts and watchtowers of the old fortress. Moreover, don’t miss the Sekkala, the historic port area filled with colorful fishing boats. Be sure to stop by the lively fish market, where locals sell their fresh catch of the day.
