Go on a day trip from Marrakech to the old port city of Essaouira. Spend the day exploring the traditional medina, known for its beautiful buildings and relaxed seaside culture. See how argan oil is made and visit the Essaouira Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After driving for an hour and a half, we’ll take a 15-minute break. Our next stop will be at a small argan oil cooperative run by local women. Here, you’ll learn how argan oil is made and can buy some oil directly from the producers
When we arrive in Essaouira, you’ll have free time to explore the old medina and its impressive walls, including the Sekkala, the old port, and the fish markets. Enjoy a seafood lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you can walk along the beautiful beach and take photos of the sandy shore before we return to Marrakech in the late afternoon.
